With user segmentation, you will be able to decide which user can see published content based on the segment they belong to.

A typical use case is for example a private screening to a selected user group like journalists, colleagues or a film club.

When you assign an asset to a user segment it won’t be visible or searchable for any user outside the user segment.

How do I use a user segmentation?

  1. In the console, you start with creating a user segment.
  2. Then you can add existing users to the segment.
  3. At last, you add the user segment to an asset.

You can then publish the asset and guide your selected users into your service to the private screening.

Afterwards, you can decide if you publish the asset for all your users by simply removing the user segment or unpublish the asset again. Read the full guide here.
