Day passes are giving access to a package of content for a predefined period. When the period is ending the customer loses access to the content automatically.


This offer type can be used as a complementary offer for subscription services for customers who are interested in the content but aren't willing to commit to purchasing a subscription. It can also be used for Pay-per-view events.


Purchase flow

The customer can discover your day pass offers through two entry points:

  • a purchase button on the details page of an asset
  • a discover offers button in the account settings


From the purchase button

The customer can initiate the purchase flow by clicking on the Day pass button on the details page. If several day passes are available the button will show the lowest price.

After clicking on the button the customer can make the offer selection and enter a discount code.

As soon as the customer clicks on "Proceed to checkout" she is directed to the payment gateway page and can enter the payment credentials.


From the discover offer button

When the customer clicks on the discover offer button she is guided to the offer page where all available offers are listed.

You can make the decision easier for the customer by listing the unique selling points and add an image to your offers.


After selecting an offer the customer then proceeds to an overview with the detailed offer and pricing description that also includes the possibility to use a promotion code. 

As soon as the customer clicks on "Proceed to checkout" she is directed to the payment gateway page and can enter the payment credentials.


When the payment gateway confirms the successful transaction the customer gets redirected to your website and can start watching immediately.
